
HGA is pleased to announce that Josh Stowers, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB, has been promoted to Public Market Sector Leader, and Peter Balistrieri, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to Corporate Market Sector Leader.
Stowers succeeds Mia Blanchett, FAIA, LEED AP, who was elected Chief Executive Officer in January 2024. Balistrieri succeeds Winfield Roney, AIA, LEED AP, who will continue as Principal in the Corporate sector.
“Josh and Peter have continuously supported a sense of community and teamwork that translates to the quality of work we deliver for clients,” Blanchett said. “In their new roles, they will prove invaluable implementing sector-wide goals while expanding national market reach through the firm’s holistic design approach.”
Stowers joined HGA six years ago as Minneapolis Public-Corporate Practice Group Leader, overseeing a growing team working with top clients throughout the Upper Midwest. He has more than 20 years of design leadership experience focused on corporate and commercial architecture, workplace strategy, and adaptive re-use. His projects include Water Works Park Pavilion, Boston Scientific campus plan, Whitebox Advisors, Wayzata Community Sailing Center, and Ft. Lauderdale Federal Courthouse in development for the General Services Administration (GSA).
Balistreri has been at HGA for 25 years, starting as a student intern and advancing to Principal and most recently Milwaukee Public-Corporate Practice Group Leader. He has led interdisciplinary teams on diverse projects scales, from corporate campuses to mixed-used urban infills. His notable work includes Harley-Davidson Museum; Museum of Wisconsin Art; Schreiber Foods; Kerry Ingredients in Beloit, Ireland, Singapore, and Brazil; Sherwin-Williams Global R&D Center; Harley-Davidson Park; and many local community projects.
