As HGA’s market sector leader for healthcare, Mark sets the direction and overall performance goals for the healthcare practice across 12 offices to advance HGA’s brand as a leading design firm and drive intentional growth in a dynamic industry.

Since joining HGA in 2000, Bultman has been instrumental in expanding HGA’s healthcare practice. As the firm grew from five to 12 offices across the country, he introduced new approaches to Lean management and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and embraced research, data analytics and design thinking to improve the design process and project outcomes.

As a Principal, Mark continues to lead clients and teams to realize success through a collaborative process in which design team members, contractors, and owners are partners in delivery quality outcomes. Mark has led some of HGA’s largest, most prominent healthcare projects, including the recently completed MetroHealth Glick Center, a campus transformation focused on research-based health equity and community wellbeing in a park-like setting in Cleveland.  Bultman is a member of the Lean Construction Institute (LCI) Milwaukee Community of Practice. He regularly presents case studies and research at conferences, including the annual LCI Congress and ASHE Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) Summit.
