Climate change is top of mind for a number of metro area cities like St. Louis Park. They are looking at everything from reducing energy consumption in public buildings to encouraging green practices in private developments.

As a case in point, St. Louis Park’s Westwood Hills Nature Center is a model of sustainability and among the rarest of buildings in the world. The $12.5 million “net zero” edifice will produce as much energy as it consumes.
