Event: American Alliance of Museums

Ariane Laxo and Leighton Deer will be part of a panel at this year’s American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting and EXPO as moderator and speaker, respectively. Laxo and Deer will join with museum leaders from the Art Institute of Chicago and Minneapolis Institute of Arts to share their expertise in how museums can introduce more sustainable, green practices into their daily operations.

Many museums are dealing with aging infrastructure and energy-intensive practices, both of which challenge institutions’ ability to be leaders in sustainable operations. During this panel, speakers will guide a facilitated conversation on how museums can reduce their carbon footprints and implement more sustainable operating practices.
