Internships
Build your career on an
HGA internship
HGA is a nationally known interdisciplinary design firm: a collective of more than 1,000 architects, engineers, interior designers, and researchers fostering insight, innovation, and a positive impact for our clients, communities, and planet. Our integrated approach draws together teams from across disciplines and across the country to create purposeful, enduring built environments. A beloved building—one so treasured it lasts for generations—is both beautiful and sustainable.
While our portfolio includes iconic, award-winning designs, our culture is decidedly down to earth. You’ll find an equitable culture that makes room for all at the table; leaders known for expertise rather than ego; and knowledgeable, respectful coworkers who inspire each other every day.
Discover what you are meant to do
We offer a 10-12 week paid internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns in each of our offices will gain hands-on experience in an integrated architecture and engineering environment.
If you’re relocating from out of state to an HGA location, HGA will provide a stipend to assist you with your summer expenses. The amount will vary depending on the summer internship location.
Do more with your summer
HGA Summer interns will:
- Collaborate and network with colleagues across disciplines and offices.
- Contribute ideas and engage in the design process.
- Use cutting-edge technologies.
- Put on a hard hat and visit project sites.
- Participate in Community Action events.
In short, you’ll have fun while doing real work at a nationally recognized design firm. You’ll learn the specifics of your profession while also learning about teamwork, client service, and why the culture of a company matters so much.
