Two HGA Projects Receive 2022 GSA Design Awards for Exceptional Design Achievement

We are pleased to announce two HGA projects have received 2022 GSA Design Awards.

2022 GSA Honor Award in Construction FBI Central Records ComplexWinchester, Virginia

The recently completed FBI Central Records Complex in Winchester, Virginia, consolidates official records from 265 Federal Bureau of Investigation field offices into one facility dedicated to storage, retrieval, and management. The complex houses one of the world’s largest automated storage and retrieval systems, as well as workspace for 450 employees, a visitor screening center, operation support, and secure service areas. The project was constructed in partnership with Clark Construction Group.

2022 GSA Design Award Citation in Architecture Arthur J. Altmeyer SSA BuildingWoodlawn, Maryland

Located on the Social Security Administration Woodlawn Campus, the Arthur J. Altmeyer Building serves as the primary offices for Senior Social Security Administration personnel. The complete building modernization included a recladding, all-new mechanical systems, and new stairs and elevator cores. HGA, with Snow Kreilich Architects and Studio NYL, updated the aging 1959 building into a state-of-the-art, high-performance workplace.
