HGA Names New Sector Operations Leaders 

HGA has announced that Alanna Carter, Scott Colson, and Matt Leslie have been selected as Sector Operations Leaders within their market sectors. Carter will oversee Healthcare operations; Colson Public | Corporate operations; and Leslie Arts, Community & Education and Science & Technology operations. 

In these nationally structured roles working across 12 offices, the Sector Operations Leaders will partner with firm leadership and project teams to ensure best practices for project delivery, financial performance, and knowledge sharing. 

“These roles will help our project teams manage time and resources as effectively as possible,” said Sarah Berseth, National Director of Operations at HGA. “We are excited to have Alanna, Scott, and Matt apply their leadership expertise to move this collaborative team structure forward as we continue to implement strategies that best serve our clients.” 

 

Alanna Carter

Alanna Carter, LEED AP, is a Principal in Minneapolis, where she will continue to lead design teams on diverse healthcare projects in the region and nationally, helping healthcare organizations align their physical environment to their strategy and mission. Carter is a subject matter expert in environments for aging, and her innovative thinking on the future of healthcare has been recognized by Fast Company and Healthcare Design Magazine. Carter served for five years as the Practice Group Leader of the Minneapolis healthcare practice, advancing strategic growth and financial performance.

Scott Colson

Scott Colson, AIA, LEED AP, is a Principal in the Public | Corporate practice in San Jose, where he leads team processes and client relations for corporate and workplace projects throughout California. A hands-on leader focused on collaboration and design quality, he believes the best workplaces reflect a deep understanding of the clients’ business culture, resulting in “authentic, purposeful, and beautiful architecture.”

 

Matt Leslie

Matt Leslie, AIA, LEED AP, is a Vice President with 30+ years of experience working with clients that lead the world in research and higher education throughout the United States, and beyond. Working out of the firm’s Boston office, Matt is an integral member of a national strategic leadership team, and he works closely with Science + Technology Market Sector Leader Chris Martin and Arts, Community & Education Market Sector Leader Rebecca Celis. He promotes a collaborative management style, “focused on clear communication and team processes to create high-quality outcomes.”
