HGA is pleased to welcome Toshio Yoshimoto, AIA, DBIA, EDAC, LEED AP, as Associate Vice President and Senior Project Architect in the Healthcare practice in Los Angeles.
He will serve as a lead Project Architect on major healthcare projects the office currently is completing in southern California.
Yoshimoto has more than 14 years architectural experience specializing in healthcare planning, design, project management, and building-code compliance. His work includes medical centers, pediatric centers, acute care facilities, and outpatient facilities for leading clients in California.
“This new position is an opportunity to join a dedicated team of designers and researchers focused on improving the healthcare delivery process through architecture,” Yoshimoto said. “The past 18 months have presented many challenges for healthcare organizations as they address the current pandemic and overall changes in population health, from the national level to the community level. I’m excited to collaborate with HGA’s internal teams and our clients to create solutions for better healthcare.”
Before joining HGA, Yoshimoto was a Senior Project Architect at HMC Architects and a Project Architect at Perkins Eastman, both in Los Angeles.
He has a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
