When Voyatek—a nationally dispersed, rapidly evolving technology organization—faced a bi-coastal merger, the workplace challenge was clear: Inspire unity, enable collaboration, and support a variety of workstyles for a growing, distributed team.

Traditional planning couldn’t meet the moment. Early assumptions around size and use were upended as trends shifted and a compressed timeline demanded agility. HGA’s approach was to rethink the project from the ground up—pivoting away from a conventional office towards an immersive, inclusive corporate community space.

Through workshops and a real “day-in-the-life” prototype, stakeholders became active participants, shaping an environment that truly reflected their culture and operational needs. The resulting design reimagines the workplace as a mission-driven hub—a “home away from home” built on the principles of empathy, flexibility, and purposeful connection.

Activity-based destinations, interactive features, and a variety of work settings empower individuals and teams to collaborate, celebrate, experiment, and thrive. Wellness and equity guided every detail, from sustainable materials and inclusive acoustic design to intuitive space transitions that foster both connection and respite.

The impact is tangible. Voyatek’s teams now experience a workplace that not only supports diverse ways of working, but also strengthens cultural identity and engagement—bridging the gap between physical and digital, remote, and on-site. Through partnership and an inventive, holistic process, our team delivered a space that advances Voyatek’s mission: doing good, having fun, and creating lasting value in an ever-changing world.
