Strengthening Communities Through Innovative Spaces

In order to define goals and the vision for the library, HGA and key stakeholders for the library in Sutter County, Yuba City, met for an interactive visioning sessions. The high level information gathered during this brainstorming was used to develop preliminary diagram concepts and design decisions.

The renovation project enhanced and expanded services to the community within the existing library space, through the addition of an innovation center. The goal for this innovation center is to provide an open, flexible space that can be adaptable for community events and foster entrepreneurship, community projects, and business development. The center also showcases technology through its VR set-up and 3D Printer, which is on display for all to see. Technology pods with roll down garage doors have been designed into the project to allow for individual and specialty functions in the space.
