Incorporating Vision and Mission through Branding

The Government Operations Agency (GovOps) is one of 11 cabinet-level agencies in the executive branch of California state government, overseeing and supporting the work of 13 departments, boards and offices with more than 22,000 employees. The Agency also plays a coordinating role across all state agencies to accelerate innovation and best practices.

The Agency relocated their offices to a 10,000 SF space in downtown Sacramento, and HGA collaborated with this high profile client including new interior finishes, lighting, wayfinding, and furniture, as well as increased efficiency for HVAC systems, improvements to building security, and access barrier removal. HGA worked collaboratively with GovOps to incorporate a greater connection to their mission and vision through branding and a new, collaborative workplace strategy. The Project was under the Division of the State Architect (DSA), and the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) as the authorities having jurisdiction.
