OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center at Norman Regional

Community-Focused Cancer Care

Norman Regional Cancer Center in Norman, Oklahoma, is a beautiful and welcoming facility designed with healing and wellness in mind. Partnered with OU Health, the center aims to make patient centered, multidisciplinary, research-driven cancer treatment more accessible for the Norman community. HGA led the design for the 50,000-square-foot facility that brings together Norman Regional’s cancer care services including surgery, medical oncology, and radiation therapy into one building.

Designed for comfort, the center has 24 infusion rooms and 22 exam rooms with large windows for peaceful views of the campus pond and landscape. The lobby’s two-story entry leads to relaxing pond views, while a staircase full of natural light invites visitors into the building. A lower level hosts the imaging suites, administrative offices, a pharmacy, and room for future growth. Evidence-based design principles were applied and used to test the design of each space so it would meet the efficiency, operational, and experience needs of staff, patients and visitors.

The nature-inspired design fits seamlessly into the Norman Regional Hospital campus, and supports the center’s mission to offer exceptional care, improving the well-being of everyone who visits.
