North American Meat Institute (NAMI)

Nourishing Today. Sustaining Tomorrow.

The Meat Institute had been in their previous, very traditional space for 20+ years and went through both a cultural shift and a rebrand. The visioning session revealed goals around supporting connectivity and community, equity and empowerment, and driving advocacy in a dynamic atmosphere for their staff and members. This vision drove the concept of the 4 C’s – Convene, Clarity, Community, and Continuity.

The team evaluated Meat Institute’s hybrid work schedule and explored ideas of opening up portions of the space to pull the team closer together driving Continuity. Full glass-fronted offices and curved open workstation reflect the concept of Clarity, reinforcing transparency, equity and access within the organization. A large extension of their pantry strategically placed off the main entry, atrium, and large conference room is used for Convening of staff and the organizations members allowing for blending of both Communities for meetings, events, and open workspace.

Touches of warm woods mixed with highly efficient lighting, the use of recycled materials, and a space flooded with natural light are tied together by the inclusion of the environmental graphics to highlight the organizations mission “Nourishing Today. Sustaining Tomorrow.”
