Showcase Office in the DC Metro Region

HGA’s new 17,000 SF office is located in the historic Woodies Building in the heart of downtown DC. This relocation creates a central hub in the DC Metro Area allowing for more outreach to new clients and potential employees.

The space consists of a reception area, conference rooms, finish library, Zoom rooms, design lab and open office for 54 workstations. At the heart of the office is the Arena, comprised of a pantry area and a Collab Room with collapsible walls that can create one large open space. The arena is multi-functional and intended for employees and visitors to gather, socialize, collaborate, meet, and share ideas. The design of the office is centered around creativity, design thinking, equity, and empowerment. The palette and design were developed based on three drivers: authenticity, welcoming, and curiosity. The overall palette is warm and neutral but balanced by contrast between black and white. Details throughout the office are intentional in highlighting the different disciplines represented at HGA and elements such as a coin wall to celebrate each project teams’ accomplishments.
