Clovis Community Medical Center, 501 Multipurpose Building
Outpatient Clinical Care with Room to Grow
The 501 Multipurpose Building provides Clovis Community Medical Center with needed outpatient clinical service and administrative space.
The two-story, 60,000 square-foot Medical Office Building includes a dialysis center on the first floor; conference rooms, training area, and administrative space on the second floor; and 30,000 square feet of shell space for future clinical services.
Building on its long-term professional relationship with Clovis Community Medical Center over the past 20 years, HGA collaborated with leadership, stakeholders, and staff to develop a cost-effective design that makes a welcoming architectural statement on a prominent site facing Herndon Avenue.
Staying within the owner’s master plan and existing campus design guidelines, the Multipurpose Building unfolds horizontally on its site. The exterior features two-tone concrete panels, contrasting metallic architectural band, tinted vertical windows, and prominent entry canopy leading to a two-story glass atrium—projecting a distinctive presence while integrating with the campus. A secondary staff entry in back provides easy access from staff parking.
Inside, the light-filled lobby features neutral tones, wood and stone finishes, and clustered visitor seating. The dialysis center includes 24 open chairs, one private treatment room, one blood-borne pathogen treatment room, and reception area—all benefitting from abundant light through large windows. The second-floor conference rooms overlook the two-volume lobby.Portfolio
