1200 Chestnut

From Drab to Desired

Before the team at Kenson Ventures embarked on the renovation of 1200 Chestnut, the building was unimpressive—a beige, single-story structure from the 1960s with a hidden entrance situated in a dark corridor. The challenge was to bring this outdated structure into the contemporary era to keep pace with and attract the rapidly developing tech industry.

This transformation involved several key elements. The ground floor was refurbished through the introduction of modern materials and large windows; glass storefronts with patterned sunshades were also added, inviting natural light into the conference rooms and connecting the interior with the street.

The building entrance was upgraded with vertical glass pane and metal slats, installed at the top of a new glass canopy and storefront, reaching towards the sky. A Mezzanine Level was added, opening the previously cramped space and adding a welcoming feeling to the office interior.
