At AIA26 in San Diego, HGA joined fellow architects, designers, and industry leaders from across the country to exchange ideas on the future of the built environment.
As part of the conference programming, AIA featured a video spotlighting HGA’s renovation of the San Diego Symphony’s Jacobs Music Center, and HGA team members led project tours that gave attendees a closer look at the design, preservation, and technical coordination behind the transformation.
Originally opened in 1929 as the Fox Theatre, the historic venue has been reimagined as a world-class symphony hall that honors its past while supporting the future of live performance in downtown San Diego. Through a careful balance of preservation, performance design, and contemporary upgrades, the project reflects how cultural spaces can continue to evolve while remaining deeply connected to the communities they serve.
