Peter Cook Appointed to U.S. Commission of Fine Arts

We are pleased to announce that Peter Cook has been named to the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts by President Biden.

Peter Cook is a Design Principal in our Washington, D.C., office, where he focuses on cultural, civic, and federal projects nationally. Among his high-profile projects are the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, Watha T. Daniel / Shaw Neighborhood Library, the Embassy of South Africa, and Saint Elizabeth’s East Gateway Pavilion.

He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).

Cook will join three other new appointees to the seven-member Commission, including Hazel Ruth Edwards, Professor and Chair, Howard University Department of Architecture; Justin Garrett Moore, Inaugural Program Officer, Humanities in Place, Andrew Mellon Foundation; and Billie Tsien, Partner, Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects.
