As Principal for ACE Jim specializes in cultural and community-focused projects on college campuses. In addition to being passionate about resolving highly complex programs, researching innovative materials, building systems and structural solutions, Jim uses his analytical, critical thinking and strategic decision-making abilities in his role to lead and collaborate. Among several award-winning academic performing arts projects, his most recent collaborations feature complex addition/renovations where it was critical to leverage the best use of the existing facilities to reserve the client’s resources for high performance programming throughout the project. In addition to practice, Jim is also an Adjunct Professor of Graduate Design Studios at the University of Minnesota.
