Capital One Hall “adds a taste of the city” to Tysons Corner in Fairfax County, Virginia, as highlighted in a new column in The New York Times. The trend piece—featuring HGA client Capital One Financial Corp as a prominent example—focuses on how companies are designing to create city energy within suburban headquarters by adding public-facing venues such as performing arts centers, shops, restaurants, hotels, residences, and public parks.
“We wanted vibrant mixed-use amenities that are public-facing to bring in that energy that we all kind of thrive off of,” said Jonathan Griffith, Capital One Center’s Managing Director. HGA is proud to have designed Capital One Hall and The Perch—a 2.5-acre rooftop park located 11 stories above the street—as a central draw to the inventive Capital One Center corporate campus.
