HGA is pleased to welcome Michael Andersen as Associate Vice President in Business Development. For the past 25 years, Michael has been focused on the healthcare market in the areas of business development, marketing, sale, strategic planning, and communications.
Andersen will continue his focus on the healthcare market by supporting the Minneapolis healthcare team throughout their region. He will leverage existing relationships while expanding his network and identifying new client opportunities.
“The pandemic has created a new urgency for how we deliver healthcare and address disparity in population health,” Andersen said. “HGA is a national leader in planning facilities that enable healthcare organizations to reimagine their healthcare delivery process. I’m excited to build on the firm’s existing client base and communicate our design expertise to address opportunities in the healthcare market.”
Before joining HGA, Andersen was the National Healthcare Market Sector Leader at AECOM, where he led national healthcare business development and marketing strategies across multiple offices. Prior to AECOM, Andersen was the Project Executive and Director of Business Development at Erdman. He worked with university medical systems, integrated health systems, community hospitals and group practices for clients in the South, Southwest, and Pacific Northwest.
Andersen earned the Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) and is a member of ASHE (American Society of Healthcare Engineers) and CMAA (Construction Management Association of America). He has a Masters of Fine Arts from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, and a Bachelor of Science from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
