HGA has hired Katie Carley as Associate Vice President and Business Developer in the Los Angeles office. She will support new business opportunities for the higher education practice group serving clients throughout California.

Carley has more than 18 years of experience in the architecture/engineering/construction industry, with knowledge of local and regional market sectors, business practices, and competitive environments.

Before joining HGA, Carley was Associate Principal, Director of Development and Co-Director of Operations for Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners in Santa Monica, where she provided strategic direction for all project pursuits in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Previously, she was Business Development Manager for Arquitectonica in Los Angeles, and Business Development Coordinator for Onyx Architects in Pasadena.
She has served as Pacific Region Chair of the Society of College and University Planners (SCUP) and is a past board member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and the USC Architectural Guild Committee.
Carley has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
