HGA is pleased to welcome Jay Wiederholt, AIA, as Associate Vice President and Principal in Minneapolis.
He will direct client relations, new business opportunities, and team processes for the Public | Corporate practice group, focusing primarily on developing government agency relationships in the region.
“The pandemic has changed the nature of how public and private facilities function, with a distributed workforce becoming the norm,” Wiederholt said. “As we gradually return to the workplace, facilities will evolve into a hybrid model for remote and in-person work styles. With this in mind, we must evolve our design practice, embracing flexibility and sustainability to create robust and resilient facilities. The facilities of tomorrow must possess advanced building envelopes with energy-efficient mechanical and electrical systems, creating an enhanced built environment. HGA provides the design resources and research expertise to help clients reimagine their facilities. I’m excited to join a team dedicated to client services and design visioning.”
Wiederholt has more than 18 years’ experience designing and managing projects for education, government, corporate, industrial, and aviation clients. His expertise includes planning, programming, design, project management, and sustainable energy strategies.
Before joining HGA, he was Government Market Manager and Senior Architect at TKDA in St Paul.
He is a past member of the Minneapolis/St Paul Passive House Alliance Board of Directors and recent recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 by Professional Builder.
Wiederholt has a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University.
