HGA won two Honor Awards and a Framework in Design Excellence Commendation for outstanding projects designed by AIA Minnesota members.
Arthur J. Altmeyer Social Security Administration Building – Honor Award

The Arthur J. Altmeyer Building in Woodlawn, Maryland, serves as the primary offices for Senior Social Security Administration. HGA updated the 10-story building into a state-of-the art, high-performance modern office that included a complete re-cladding of the exterior, all-new mechanical systems, and new stairs and elevator cores. The project is targeting LEED Silver.
Manitowish Waters Fire Company – Honor Award

The Manitowish Waters Fire Company in Wisconsin houses a fire engine, ambulance, ATVs, and boats, as well as training area, kitchen, offices, and fitness room. The exterior includes custom precast panels that recall the vertical pattern of the nearby North Woods forest, while a steel canopy features bright acid green and yellow tones that mimic the color of emergency vehicles.
Brookview Community Center – Framework for Design Excellence

In addition, HGA also won a Framework in Design Excellence Commendation for the Brookview Community Center in Golden Valley, Minnesota, for promoting the interdependence between people, buildings, infrastructure, and the environment. The new facility for the Brookview Golf Course provides exterior spaces for lawn bowling, golf, seniors, dining, and public gathering.
