Real Experiences of an Integrated Team on the Restoration of the MN State Capitol
Friday, October 19, 2018 at 3:30 p.m.

The attendees will hear the story of how the integrated engineering and architecture team worked on the Minnesota State Capitol Restoration project. It can be challenging to find women in leadership positions in engineering, architecture, and construction, let alone an entire team. The State Capitol team diverged from industry norms; its principal, project manager, project architects, mechanical engineer lead and the lighting designer were all female. This was a formidable project: high profile and phased construction in a historically and architecturally significant building. The presentation will focus on how this integrated team steered the Minnesota State Capitol Renovation with innovation and leadership. These thought leaders will demonstrate through their individual and shared experiences how you and your unique skill set can navigate through challenging projects and your career.
