The new Student Health and Counseling Center at UC Riverside celebrated its completion with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Located in the University’s residential district, the Center will become an integral part of student life on campus, offering a holistic approach to wellness. Integrated services will include medical, mental health and wellbeing services. The first level houses Student Health Services including urgent care, laboratory services, a pharmacy and a conference center. A central outdoor Wellness Court provides a place of respite and serves as an outdoor community resource. The second level houses student counseling services and takes advantage of beautiful views of the Box Springs Mountains reserved for counseling, group therapy, and meditation. Learn more here.

HGA attended the dedication and ceremonial groundbreaking for the Minnesota Military Museum, a landmark museum honoring the men and women who have served and sacrificed on behalf of the State of Minnesota. The event hosted more than 300 people and included a keynote address from retired Army General, Joseph Votel. The 40,000 square foot museum, located on a 32-acre lot in Camp Ripley, will house a collection of over 80,000 artifacts. The facility and grounds will showcase the wide spectrum of Minnesota’s veterans’ experiences on a prominent site, encouraging visitor access, patronage and support while creating an enduring monument for all citizens to share and take pride in. Our Interdisciplinary Research & Commercialization Building (IRCB) team celebrated a construction topping out milestone of the three-story cast-in-place structure at Florida State University (FSU). Located on FSUs Southwest Campus in Tallahassee, the IRCB is envisioned as a catalyst for significant innovation and discovery within a human-centered intellectual environment. The building programming and design promotes integrated achievements in a flexible and adaptable setting that can easily accommodate changing paradigms in research methodologies. Slated for completion in late 2024, IRCB will feature dedicated space for faculty and equipment in support of the University’s recent investment in quantum science and engineering. Learn more here.

Selected as a winner of the 2023 IIDA Healthcare Design Awards, Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s is an interactive, family-friendly healing environment. Designed by HGA in partnership with Cedars-Sinai’s own planning, design and construction team, the unit immerses patients and their families into a world of care by providing portals of engagement for escape and respite that promote healing. The family reception and lobby waiting area includes a full-wall interactivite screen that uses motion-sensing technology. In the playroom, an interactive screen offers digital stickers, and the game room features a theatre-like environment with customizable entertainment and play. Hallway walls showcase digital artwork and patient rooms are considered “safe zones,” meaning no treatment or procedures occur in the rooms. Learn more here.
