Completed Project
The HGA-designed headquarters for West Bank celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony in West Des Moines, Iowa. Nestled in a commercial district, the state-of-the-art facility will breathe new life into the area, underscoring West Bank’s dedication to the communities it serves. Collaborating closely with West Bank, HGA designed the four-story building with a blend of private and open office spaces, versatile meeting areas, and zones for hosting and entertaining customers. Key features of the new headquarters include a rooftop terrace and a lower-level patio, which opens onto a landscaped water feature, providing additional spaces for gatherings. The building’s exterior, clad in natural stone and glass, is accentuated by strategic lighting, making the structure visible from the interstate in the evening. Learn more, here.

New Project
HGA has been selected for the pre-design of the University of Minnesota’s new Community University Health Care Center (CUHCC) Clinic in Minneapolis. The project will build on the feasibility study completed by HGA and Urban Design Perspectives that defined the need, scope, and conditions for CUHCC to effectively serve their community in the coming decades. CUHCC is the largest urban interprofessional primary care training site in Minnesota, providing comprehensive primary care to over 11,500 patients who experience socioeconomic, cultural, linguistic, and other barriers to healthcare. The combined team created a future program addressing CUHCC’s complex activity, global population, and other established program drivers, including space demands and evolving service delivery modes such as telehealth, mobile health, and remote work. To enhance the patient and staff experience, the program recommendations include prayer rooms, lactation rooms, respite spaces, private consulting areas, and exam rooms sized to accommodate multiple family members. The new clinic’s design will further CUHCC’s goal to provide a patient experience focused on health equity outcomes. Learn more about CUHCC here.
