Completed Project
The new North Tower at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla (Calif) is now open, offering a complete hospital with 188 inpatient beds and three floors dedicated to mother-baby services. Part of a larger plan to redevelop the entire campus, the tower was crafted to complement the existing Prebys Cardiovascular Institute, while remaining modern and contextual to its surroundings. HGA partnered with Scripps in the design of an efficient, patient-centric facility that meets the needs of today’s healthcare workforce and the community. Key features include dedicated spaces for labor and delivery, a state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and a postpartum floor. Located on the Labor and Delivery floors and near the NICU, outdoor gardens offer peace and provide a tranquil place of respite for families. Additionally, the tower includes a new surgery unit with nine operating rooms and an expanded preoperative holding area. New Projects
Since 1962, the Grand Teton Music Festival has contributed to the lively cultural heritage of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, engaging, entertaining, educating, and inspiring residents and travelers alike. HGA is partnering with the festival in the renovation and restoration of the 50-year-old Walk Festival Hall, which hosts classical music performances by artists from around the world. The Hall’s restorations will elevate acoustics, improve sightlines, and create a more intimate atmosphere. To improve wayfinding and enhance the guest experience, the box office will be relocated, and a new lobby will be added, connecting the stairs and the elevator. The new deck-side concessions will offer a space for refreshments, along with a donor wall, and expansive views of the Hall’s lush surroundings. Accessibility updates will be incorporated throughout, as well as upgrades to amenities and essential systems. Still in the funding phase, the renovated Walk Festival Hall will support the Grand Teton Music Festival’s journey to make space for cultural enrichment now, and for future generations to come. HGA has been selected to partner with Central Standard Craft Distillery in the design of their new location at the Harley-Davidson Juneau Avenue headquarters in the Near West Side neighborhood of Milwaukee. The renovation of a large, red brick building on the Harley-Davidson campus will consolidate previous distillery and warehouse locations and boost production with space for research and development, private events, and barrel aging along with a public-facing tasting room. The initiative builds on a successful collaboration that began with the revitalization of a historic building for the Central Standard Crafthouse and Kitchen, in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. HGA’s partnership with Harley-Davidson spans over two decades, including Davidson Park at the Juneau Avenue headquarters, completed in 2024. Project Milestones
The first building on the site of the Minnesota Innovation Exchange (The MIX) is undergoing city review and will set the tone for the 12-acre redevelopment on the edge of the University of Minnesota’s Minneapolis campus. HGA is working with Mortenson Co. and the University of Minnesota Foundation Real Estate Advisors in a vision to create spaces for those that want to be close to the innovation and research of the university, through a dynamic living and learning community. Bounded to the north by Biomedical Discovery District and Huntington Bank Stadium and to the south by the university’s future clinical campus expansion, The MIX is well positioned to anchor Minnesota’s next innovation hub. The first phase will be a 10-story building housing advanced lab space and offices, with retail space and restaurants on the ground floor. Working with TEN x TEN Landscape Architects, the first phase also includes the beginning of a multiblock green space that will eventually connect directly to the campus. Part of a three-phase project, future phases will include housing, hospitality and additional spaces for innovation, entertainment, and retail. Learn more about the vision for The MIX here.
