HGA Announces Market Sector Leadership Appointments in Arts + Culture, Community + Live, and Education

Leadership appointments reinforce HGA’s national sector expertise across industries shaping the built environment.

National interdisciplinary design firm HGA has appointed three Market Sector Leaders in Arts + Culture, Community + Live, and Education, reinforcing the firm’s focus on the industries where it has built deep expertise and long-standing client partnerships. 

Tim Carl, FAIA, LEED AP, has been named Market Sector Leader for Arts + Culture. Tamar Ribnick, WELL AP, NCIDQ has been named Market Sector Leader for Community + Live. Rebecca Celis, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been named Market Sector Leader for Education. 

The appointments are part of HGA’s national market structure, which organizes the firm’s expertise across eight sectors: Arts + Culture, Community + Live, Education, Healthcare, Science + Technology, Government, Workplace, and Energy + Infrastructure. 

“These leaders bring deep experience working with the institutions and organizations that shape their sectors,” said Mia Blanchett, FAIA, LEED AP, Chief Executive Officer of HGA. “Their leadership strengthens HGA’s ability to bring thoughtful design, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration to the challenges facing our clients.” 

Arts + Culture: Tim Carl brings more than twenty-five years of experience designing nationally recognized arts projects. Known for a collaborative approach rooted in strong client partnerships, Carl previously served as HGA’s Chief Executive Officer for nine years, guiding the firm through a period of significant growth. His experience provides a unique perspective on aligning design excellence, sector strategy, and firmwide priorities. 

Community + Live: Tamar Ribnick brings a multidisciplinary perspective informed by her experience leading complex projects across workplace, public, library, retail, and infrastructure environments. Her work reflects a deep understanding of how community-focused spaces support access, connection, and the evolving needs of growing cities and regions. 

Education: Rebecca Celis has led HGA’s Arts, Community, and Education team since 2021 before assuming the Education Market Sector Leader role this year. Rebecca excels at bringing together diverse voices to help clients align vision, design goals, and outcomes through sustainability, research and design excellence. Her portfolio includes interdisciplinary learning environments, campus planning, student life, residential life, visual arts studios and performing arts projects on a wide variety of college and university campuses.
