Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) support one of the most vulnerable patient populations. In this program, Terri Zborowsky and Rebecca Kleinbaum Sanders of HGA join industry colleagues highlighting pre- and post-occupancy research evaluating the impact of lighting, sound, and perception on nursing staff at University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital NICU. Presenters will describe their research methodologies and data findings, comparing nurses’ workflow in the hospital’s original open-bay concept to the new private-room NICU.
