Countryside Community Church has won an Honor Award for Interior Architecture at the AIA Central States Design Awards. In addition, the church won an Honor Award for Interiors Architecture from AIA Nebraska.

Part of the Tri-Faith Initiative that unites a church, synagogue, and mosque in Omaha, Nebraska, the community had detailed input and aspirations for the project. Beyond the worship spaces, the new building expands existing social, educational and outreach programming, including a coffee shop, banquet hall, classrooms, and community food shelf.

“The mastery of material applications in this project results in a clear and well-oriented interior landscape, where the wood material brings warmth, acoustical richness, and spatial layering to a diverse collection of worship spaces,” according to a juror for AIA Central States, Sharon Johnston, FAIA.

The AIA Central States Design Awards celebrate the best in design in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The AIA Nebraska Design Awards celebrates the best in design in Nebraska.
