The Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum gave the Jackson Hole, WY town council a preliminary look at draft plans for a new history museum, designed by Joan Soranno of HGA. Slated to be built on a block designated for historic preservation and rehabilitation, the museum will help to preserve the town’s unique history while attracting visitors to downtown Jackson. Two local historic cabins will be incorporated in the museum’s footprint – the Shane Cabin, built in 1953 for the eponymous Western film, and the Karns Cabin, built in 1898 by an early homesteader.
