HGA has partnered with Olmsted Medical Center for decades, including updating the Elton Hills facility to meet the needs of modern rehabilitation practices and elevate the patient and staff experience.
Elton Hills features a full array of rehabilitation services. The rehab components include a gym as well as a gym/classroom hybrid, treatment rooms, a women’s health area, speech therapy, and lymphedema. The center also offers Occupational Therapy, ADL (Activities of Daily Living) treatment, and orthopedic services including casting and imaging.
The design team worked closely with stakeholders to understand the strategic improvements needed to bring the center up to the highest standards. Acoustics were improved to increase privacy for patients through a combination of ceiling panels and specially designed screening. Wood accents were introduced to add warmth to the space. Staff work spaces were updated to enhance collaboration and introduce new technology into the center.
