Reinvigorating Commercial Development
As West Des Moines’ oldest business, West Bank has been serving the community and surrounding areas since 1893. With the completion of their 50 year lease approaching, the company saw the opportunity to invigorate redevelopment in an underutilized commercial area of West Des Moines.
The new headquarters – situated on a 7.5 acre parcel, seated near Highway 235 and a quiet business district – is a testament to West Bank’s investment in the community, while breathing new life into the area.
The new 62,000 SF, four-story building features private and open office and meeting areas in addition to areas for hosting and entertaining customers both indoors and outdoors on the building’s gracious rooftop terrace and lower level patio that opens towards a landscaped water feature. The exterior is faced in natural stone and glass, enhanced by lighting that makes the building visible from the interstate in the evening.
