Crinetics Pharmaceuticals - Office and Laboratory Improvements
A Reimagined Life Sciences Headquarters
A global pharmaceutical developer of novel therapeutics for rare endocrine diseases and endocrine-related tumors, including cancer, Crinetics engaged HGA to transform a former office and industrial building into a high-performance life sciences headquarters.
To support rapid growth and evolving research programs, the two-story, 94,230 SF tenant improvement project accommodates more than 21,000 SF of chemistry and biology laboratories and 4,000 SF of vivarium space. Laboratory programs include medicinal, analytical, and formulation chemistry, as well as tissue and cell culture, radiochemistry, and mass spectrometry support spaces.
HGA introduced extensive interior improvements and infrastructure upgrades so the building could function as a fully operational life sciences facility. Dedicated HVAC systems and advanced environmental controls are tailored to the biological and chemical laboratories, while carefully planned control areas safely manage hazardous materials throughout. A specialized radiochemistry lab and mass spectrometry suite further support advanced pharmaceutical research and testing.
The workplace layout supports research collaboration and day-to-day interaction. Meeting spaces are strategically located between laboratory zones to take advantage of high foot traffic and encourage informal exchanges among teams. Interior glazing connects lab and office environments, creating visual continuity and reinforcing a shared research culture.
The LEED Silver certified facility is designed for long-term performance and sustainability, with energy-efficient building systems, high-performance laboratory equipment, and rooftop solar panels. It creates a flexible, future-ready environment that supports Crinetics’ mission to advance therapies and the needs of its growing research community.
