CASPER COLLEGE | DICK AND MARIALYCE TOBIN VISUAL ARTS CENTER

Welcoming Home for Creativity

The Tobin Visual Arts Center serves as a gateway building for Casper College, offering a new home for ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting, and photography. Designed as a hub of creativity, it supports not only art majors but also community education classes and workshops. Located on the northeast corner of campus, the vibrant new home for the college’s NASAD-accredited art programs features instructional studios for all disciplines, faculty offices, an art history classroom, critique spaces, and a gallery supported by collections storage and exhibition preparation areas to enhance the museum studies program.

A welcoming landscaped plaza invites students and visitors alike, while the facility’s advanced preservation systems help safeguard Casper College’s collection of over 400 art pieces. Designed to foster creativity, the building offers customized studio spaces with important safety features, and exhaust and ventilation systems to protect artisans. The spaces promote exploration of mixed media techniques and hands-on learning. The building’s minimalist interior aesthetic provides a blank canvas—encouraging students and artists to leave their creative mark.
