Redefining Spaces for Healing Trauma

If there were no limits, what types of healthcare spaces would architects create to support healing? Oasis is our vision for addressing the global crisis of childhood trauma, which affects millions and can lead to lifelong health challenges. Research shows that therapies like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) help children heal through the brain’s neuroplasticity.
Drawing on the principles of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and leveraging the brain’s neuroplasticity, Oasis reimagines therapeutic environments with AI-driven, interactive design. This inflatable architecture reshapes itself for individuals or groups and uses advanced technology to scan a child’s brain, reconstructing physical and projected spaces based on positive memories, such as a forest from a family trip. It adjusts scents, sounds, temperature, and textures to enhance the experience. The more time children spend in Oasis—whether playing, relaxing, or engaging in therapy—the more it reinforces positive memories and helps repair neural pathways for healing.

Portable and easy to deploy, Oasis is designed for diverse settings, from residential care to disaster response, making healing accessible where it’s needed most. Oasis is a first aid kit for healing trauma wherever it occurs, giving hope and supporting recovery.
