Nishu has more than 19 years of experience in designing, detailing and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and execution of projects. She has a great familiarity with building enclosure systems and regulatory framework dealing with built environment. Her projects feature a broad range of scales including healthcare, academic, residential, and commercial buildings contributing to multiple award winning, LEED Certified projects. In her current role at HGA, she guides and supports the healthcare team in crafting comprehensive healthcare settings for patients.
She has been instrumental with AIA DC Equity Committee by WIELD as a Secretary, Co-Chair and Past Chair. She has served as AIA DC Board Director-At-Large (2022-2023). In 2021, she was selected in Great Diverse Designers Library, SAY IT LOUD DC and later featured in Octagon Museum in 2022 to celebrate contribution to the profession and built environment. As part of HGA’s Community Action she spearheads Architecture in the Schools program sponsored by WAF.
