“I seek to design spaces that capture the essence of an organization by emphasizing their culture and mission—and making people feel welcome in the built environment,” Cummings said. “HGA always has placed exceptional design upfront. The firm’s adoption of equity and sustainability is particularly exciting to me—both in how we operate internally and through our holistic design process. I look forward to furthering my personal growth and designing dynamic, thoughtful, and beautiful spaces with this incredible team.”

Before HGA, she was a Principal with FORM Architects in Arlington, Virginia, where she directed interior architecture and design services to grow the firm into one of the region’s premier firms.

Additionally, she has given back to her community through volunteer work with Kindred Communities and pro bono interiors for a community center in Southeast Washington, D.C., where she also provided Saturday morning programming for neighborhood children.
