
HGA welcomes Rick Gilbertsen, AIA, as Associate Vice President and Principal in the Public | Corporate practice group in Milwaukee. He will develop new business opportunities and lead client relations efforts for a growing Manufacturing and Industrial market base throughout Wisconsin and the Great Lakes region.
“I’m thrilled to join a great team here at HGA, and remain grateful to the teammates, mentors, and clients I have worked with over the years,” Gilbertson said. “I look forward to maintaining existing relationships and building new ones in this next phase of my career.”
Gilbertsen is an accomplished leader with more than 30 years’ experience managing integrated teams and advancing clients’ missions. Throughout his career, he has led design efforts for large manufacturing organizations, mixed-use projects, higher education facilities, and bio-pharmaceutical research labs, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulated laboratories.
Before joining HGA, he was Senior Vice President and Project Director | Regional Market Executive with Strang Inc in Milwaukee, where he recruited high-performance Architecture/Engineering teams and built brand awareness and market share in southeast Wisconsin. He further implemented the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) management system aligned with the firm’s mission and global business standards.
Gilbertsen has a Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
