Enhancing Quality of Life through Innovative Design and Accelerated Planning

As part of Norman Regional’s transformative Inspire Health plan, the Norman Regional Nine is a new freestanding emergency department plus clinic that creates local access to needed primary and emergency healthcare offerings to southeast Norman and gives Norman Regional a brand presence in the community.

To achieve speed to market the two-story, this project used an accelerated design and planning track. Leveraging the recent work at the main campus, HealthPlex, HGA used established planning and design standards, which allowed us to shorten the overall project time.

Norman Regional Nine has emergency services, doctors’ offices, physical and outpatient therapy, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and a coffee shop. These spaces allow the facility to focus on the prevention of disease severity and management of chronic disease that can be addressed in the home or an outpatient setting to enhance the overall quality of life in southeast Norman.
