HGA Principal, Joe Gibbons was recently featured in an interview with Physics World. Gibbons shared his perspective on working closely with the quantum science community to design laboratories and support spaces that meet the needs of research today and in the future.
“Following consensus on baseline requirements, we focus on providing flexibility within design to accommodate a variety of future equipment set-ups requiring minimal or no lab downtime.” said Gibbons when asked about how he designs for change. “The only certainty is that the answers to these questions will necessarily evolve over time – and sometimes rapidly so in an emerging field like quantum science.”
