HGA is pleased to announce that Sarah Berseth, PE, has been promoted to national Director of Operations overseeing the systems and processes that support HGA’s business strategies across the firm’s 12 offices.
Berseth, a licensed mechanical engineer, assumes her new leadership responsibilities after having served as Minneapolis Office Director since 2018.
“Sarah has demonstrated a deep understanding and appreciation of HGA’s collaborative, integrated team processes that drive our success,” said Scott Lindvall, AIA, NCARB, Chief Operating Officer. “She has been a leader among leaders as we have responded to the needs of our business, staff, and clients through the challenges of the pandemic over the past two years. Sarah leads with empathy and has shown the ability to make the decisions necessary to help us move forward.”
Berseth has had multiple roles since joining HGA in 2004.
In addition to being Office Director, she continued in her primary role as Senior Mechanical Engineer directing infrastructure systems for a variety of projects throughout Minnesota and nationally.
Her award-winning work includes the Arthur J. Altmeyer Federal Building Modernization, State of Minnesota Capitol Renovation, and Ramsey County Shoreview Library.
She frequently speaks on engineering, sustainability, and research topics at conferences, including “Implications of a Flexible Work Model on Corporate Design,” at EDRA53 upcoming June 2022; and “Northern Enclosure: Climate-Driven Strategies for High-Performing Facades” at Facades+ Minneapolis in July 2019.
Berseth was named Engineered Systems’ 20 to Watch: Women in HVAC in 2021.
She has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
