El Camino Fundamental High School - Center for Performing Arts
Centerpiece for Arts on Campus
As a centerpiece on campus, the El Camino High School Center for Performing Arts provides much-needed space for the school’s award-winning music and drama programs. The Center invites in the school and the community to a wide range of school and community events including theater, music, dance, and choral events among others.
The building is comprised of two solid forms that are conjoined with a transparent lobby and an expansive roof overhang that allows the outdoors to function as a natural extension of the lobby. The multi-textured, variegated facades use three types of concrete block in a combination to break down the scale of the large solid forms.
