Kenilworth Building

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Kenilworth Building creates a dynamic mixture of retail space, student housing, and art education lab and studios for UWM's Peck School of the Arts. Located just blocks from Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee, the project reconfigured a 500,000-square-foot historic warehouse into two building masses connected with a new pedestrian street that features seating areas, planting beds and vine covered walls. The ground floor includes retail space, student-housing lobby and art gallery. The 1914 East Building is dedicated to arts programs, with the West Building offering parking and a variety of student housing options.

UWM selected HGA's Telecom Design Group to also provide the design for an advanced telecommunications cabling infrastructure for both the Kenilworth Building project Peck School of the Arts and the Student Housing facilities.
