Queen of All Saints Church

Concord, California

Overview

Part of a master plan, this church renovation entailed new roofing, art-glass window restoration, exterior wall restoration, and seismic upgrades. HGA expanded the Narthex by removing Cry Rooms and increasing transparency between the Narthex and Nave. The Sanctuary moved to a central location while the pews seating 400 were refurbished and reconfigured around the Sanctuary. The balcony music area moved to the main floor to include improved acoustic, mechanical and finishes. The team also peeled away acoustic ceiling tiles to expose wood decking. Finally, new technology adds video projection and audio systems. The second phase consists of a 1,000-square-foot entrance plaza and a large gathering space with a kitchenette and restrooms.
