Chaffey College, Visual, Communications & Performing Arts Complex
Arts Village in the Foothills
The visual, performing, and communications arts complex is part of a campus master plan that envisions an “Arts Village” at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. HGA designed the complex’s two key buildings to enhance campus circulation, site views, and natural light. The larger Art Center, housing dance, drama, visual arts, and digital media, is oriented as the village gateway. The Center is visually open to the campus, allowing passersby to glimpse activities inside through expansive windows and glass bi-fold doors. The smaller Music Building, clad in stucco and architectural panels, is more enclosed for greater auditory accuracy.
