Jefferson County Health Center

Jefferson County Health Center is a rural replacement hospital that provides maximum operational efficiency and flexibility to promote patient safety and wellness. As a pilot project for the Green Guide for HealthcareTM, the 25-bed facility is one of the leading hospitals in Iowa promoting green features through planning, design and construction.

The site plan emphasizes visibility while allowing future growth. The exterior incorporates brick, rough-cut stone and wood. Interior spaces enhance the patient experience, with an emphasis on privacy, convenience and confidentiality. The building’s primary feature is the sunlit entry lobby with views to the outdoors.
