How can we authentically engage students to make a positive impact on their environment?

d’Andre Willis of HGA (above) joins colleagues at the University of Virginia to highlight how the planning process at UVA’s Student Activities Building made students co-equal partners, used social science tools to identify student values, and amplified students’ ability to guide design.

Attendees will learn how to engage students at their own institutions by applying discovery techniques, design thinking, journey mapping, and purposeful facilitation techniques to traditional programming and design problems.
