HGA is directing design and construction administration services for this Administration Building to serve the Virginia Department of Transportation's Northern Virginia District Offices and the Virginia State Police Division 7 headquarters. The 165,000-square-foot Commonwealth Administration Building includes staff offices and conferencing and training rooms. The design extends the building entrance, conference center and VSP entrance forward to create a more approachable entry plaza. The upper three stories feature open office space surrounding the core. The first floor is divided to accommodate required separations from the VDOT spaces, the conference center, and the Virginia State Police spaces. The project included approximately 800 parking spaces and conforms to the campus site and design standards.
